Formerly known separately as BC Nurse Line, Dial-A-Dietitian, Pharmacist After Hours, and BC HealthGuide, Healthlink BC is one central number for 24-hour non-emergency health info: 8-1-1. Nurses are available 24/7; Pharmacists 5pm-9am every day; and dietitians from 9a-5p weekdays.

Vancouver Native Health Society offers a multitude of social and counselling services, in addition to operating a drop-in medical and dental clinic in the downtown Eastside.
Operates a variety of programs and services for Native youth aged 13-24, including youth workers, outreach, a drop-in centre, the Aboriginal Safe House and a recreational, drug & alcohol and life skills activities.
NEDIC develops and disseminates information and resources on eating disorders and food and weight preoccupation. They also staff a telephone helpline that provides information on treatment or support.
24/7 live help line where youth can talk one-on-one, in confidence and anonymously to a support worker about bullying, gang activity, harassment, intimidation, sexual exploitation and many other issues. This is a multilingual line, so you can speak whatever language you feel most comfortable speaking in.
The Helpline for Children is the Ministry of Child and Family Development’s toll-free line for reporting of suspected cases of child abuse or neglect. Ministry social workers are also available to help support families in difficulty, since placing youth in care isn’t always the ideal or only way to help.
The Crisis Intervention & Suicide Prevention Centre of BC provides several services: The Distress Line (24-hour crisis line), Youth in BC (that’s us!), The Seniors’ Distress Line, partial share of 1-800-SUICIDE (in BC) and the Community Education Program that offers workshops in stress and suicide in schools.
