Works to reduce suicide risk among those in crisis, to assist family and friends who care about them, and to promote healing among those bereaved by suicide.

Vancouver and Burnaby residents: People age 19 and over who have made a suicide attempt, are currently suicidal, or have suicidal ideation, and are assessed as fitting program criteria, can receive individual counselling, advocacy, and hospital liaison within a six-month time frame. Also provides up to three one-on-one psychoeducational sessions to people concerned about suicide in a significant other. Anyone with concerns related to suicide can speak with an intake worker 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

BC-wide services: Anyone bereaved by a suicide death who can attend the office may access one-on-one counselling and a structured support group.

An interactive youth website which provides a place to talk freely about loss and to explore grief. Share feelings, connect with other young people and find info on the grieving process and supporting a grieving friend.

The web site includes information on dealing with grief and how to support friends who are experiencing loss, multimedia (video testimonials of youth dealing with grief), book & film reviews and a forum.

For those in the Toronto area, Soul2Soul also offers grief support groups, one-on-one support and special events.

Offers professional individual and group counselling to adults, children and adolescents experiencing who is experiencing stress due to grief , life change or loss.

There is a fee of $85 for individual sessions.

A non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the healthy and wholesome recovery of individuals experiencing grief through telephone support and information.

Volunteers assist callers with finding bereavement support, 9:30 to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
