Stress Management Exercises
The following are the three exercises that our Community Education program presents in the Stress Management Workshop in secondary schools throughout the Lower Mainland of B.C. Two of the three exercises shared here are based on the perspectives and practices of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, a practice to reduce stress developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre. Mindfulness is by no means the only approach to managing stress; But it is simple to learn and has helped many people. If these particular exercises don’t suit your needs, keep looking!
If you’d like to know more about mindfulness, have a look at the bibliography at the bottom (coming!) or you can request a speaker from our Community Education program to come to your school or class!
