PLEA offers a continuum of services for young people whose substance use is problematic including detox, addictions treatment and supported recovery:
Youth Detox provides non-medical, community-based detox services to youth 21 and under (with priority for under-16s) where they live with Family Caregivers who provide 24-hour support and supervision. This service is voluntary, free and confidential. Youth can stay for up to ten days.
Daughters & Sisters is a 6-month residential program for young women, 12-18 years old, where residents live with Family Caregivers and attend day and evening programming at their treatment centre.
Waypoint is a 4-month residential program for young men, 12-18 years old. Residents live with Family Caregivers and attend day and evening programming at their treatment centre.
The PLEA Supported Recovery Program is a 28 day residential program that provides youth (21-and-under) with a safe, supportive place to stay while stabilizing and working on a treatment/recovery plan. Residents live in a PLEA Caregiver Home and will be connected with a PLEA one-to-one support worker. By referral by an addictions counsellors within the Vancouver Coastal Health region.
