The Looking Glass for Eating Disorders is a not-for-profit charitable foundation that seeks to serve adolescents across Canada and is dedicated to creating a better understanding of eating disorders, improving access to care, and providing urgently needed programs and services previously missing from the continuum of care.
They run a variety of support programs:
- Looking Glass Residence (formerly Woodstone), Canada’s first residential treatment centre for adolescents specializing in the care and treatment of eating disorders
- Ongoing support groups (online and face to face)
- A summer camp focusing on wellness and improving quality of life for adolescents and young women suffering from eating disorders
- 4 annual scholarships for students who have received or are currently receiving treatment for an eating disorder and are now ready to reconnect with their academic pursuits
